Well according to the folks at this years Autumn Ideal Home Show, you don't have an ideal home if you leave your mobile phone charger plugged in without a mobile phone connected to it. It cost households in this country £60 million each year in power consumption. That figure astounds me. But I guess it's the same for any piece of equipment that has a power pack or transformer associated with it.
I did a quick count in my head last night of how many things we have in our hose that have the power pack plugged in and no current being drawn from it. It's around 15. So tonight I'm going to go and find them all and start unplugging some of them. At least my 'lecky bills might go down in the long run.
