ShellShock linux/unix/bsd/osx bug

This last week has seen one of the biggest security flaws in the linux/unix based operating systems come to light. Pretty much EVERY vendor has been scrabbling around trying to path their particular version of 'bash'.

There are lots of guides on lots of websites about how to get the latest patches, so I'm not going to do that here. But suffice to say that all my systems are now patched.

Bill Malchisky Jr. has good guide if you still need one.

For me just one question remains. "Why did it take Apple so long to release a patch for something that was fixable 4 days ago?"

I guess we'll never know as Apple state on their own support site that they never discuss security issues in public.
